We reviewed nouns and talked about pronouns. The first three Edusapce exercises are due by next Mon. (Sept. 17). We'll continue talking about pronouns on Wed.

HUM 121 September 6

We talked about ancient Egypt and watched a video that provided an overview of the ancient Egyptian's beliefs, practices, and monuments.

ENG 030 September 5

We went over how to register with EduSpace and enroll in the course. We then went to the Writing Center for an orientation, and I helped anyone who wanted me to sign up with EduSpace.

I handed out instructions for the field trip, and we watched a video about Stonehenge. If you missed class, there's a link among the HUM 121 Links to the right to a website where you can explore the monument.

HUM 121 August 30

We talked about Paleolithic culture and watched part of a video about the cave paintings near Lascaux, France. We also created our own cave drawings in class. I handed out Study Guide #1. See the syllabus for the due date.

ENG 030 August 29

We went over nouns in class. (To access the PowerPoint presentation I showed, click on ENG 030 Files in the sidebar on the right.) For next Wednesday, try to enroll with EduSpace and register for the class. If you have trouble, we'll work it out next week. Also, for next Wednesday, make a list of 20 nouns and classify each one of them as common or proper, concrete or abstract, and count or non-count.
