We discussed and made oral presentations. I also reviewed the style templates for the formal reports. Drafts of the formal reports are due next week.

Then we completed and reviewed the process essay worksheets and introductions.

ENG 131 April 16
Greg made a presentation on open-sources software. We talked about visual aids and instructions. I reviewed the outlines and working bibliographies for the formal reports.

We discussed the two types of process writing (instruction and explanation), practiced writing instructions, and worked on the Process Essay Worksheet. The completed worksheet is due next class.

We went over definitions and descriptions. The remainder of the class time was spent on the group projects.

We watched a video of "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe. Then we wrote stories in class.

In class we did peer reviews and instructor reviews of drafts of the five-paragraph essays. The final essays and all preliminary work and drafts will be due on April 11 or 12 depending on what section you're in.
ENG 131 April 2
We went over how the style template works and discussed the parts of a formal report. The rest of the time was used by the groups to work on their formal reports. If you missed class, please contact your group to find out what they did.
